Noida veterans have constructed Shaheed Smarak in the memories of our armed forces personnel who were martyred in various wars after independence with voluntary contribution from veterans of the Army Welfare Housing Organisation (AWHO) housing complex Arun Vihar, and Jalvayu Vihar Noida. All the three Service Headquarters, Command, Divisional, Brigade HQs, and Regimental Centres and individuals contributed liberally on the land donated by the Noida Authority.
Needless to say, it is the best memorial in the country where respective Chiefs, Vice Chiefs lay wreaths in the memory of our martyrs and is iconic and sacred land mark in the National Capital Region (NCR) where wreaths are laid on various ceremonial memorial services by the Services Chiefs, Vice Chiefs and martyr's families and their units/regiments.
We were planning to construct a waterfall in Shaheed Smarak as part of its beautification and landscaping. The project was cleared and passed during the last OGM. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, our maintenance contract has failed due to sudden death of the contractor and we are confronted with the serious financial situation.
We have decided to reach veterans and their families to help us out with donations however small they may be but with the firm belief that little drops of water only make the oceans. We need to raise about Rupees 4 lakh only to complete the project. Your contribution, however small for this noble and sacred cause will be highly appreciated.
I am enclosing Shaheed Smarak Sanstha bank a/c and IFSC Code details below or else cheques may be forwarded to Shaheed Smarak Sanstha, 29 Sector, Noida (UP)-201301 India. I request individuals, units, Regimental Centres, Training Institutes to contribute liberally for this noble and sacred cause. I request DM & Chairman/CEO of Noida Authority and Commissioner of Police, Noida also to contribute generously for the noble cause.
If desired or any query Colonel Mohinder Kumar Coordinating the work may be contacted on his mobile Number: 9910223015.
