Maj Gen. CD Sawant was commissioned in one of the most decorated and oldest Infantry Regiments of the Indian Army, The Maratha Light Infantry. He has been decorated with 5 awards including Sena Medal for gallantry and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal for exemplary leadership and administrative acumen by The President of India.

A seasoned professional with over 37 years of extensive experience with the Indian Army. A strategist and dynamic go getter with expertise in managing entire operations & ensuring optimal utilization of resources. Experienced in handling operations entailing planning, budgeting & resource deployment. Significant expertise in managing a wide spectrum of human resource management functions entailing recruitment, training & development, performance appraisals, maintaining employee relations with a view to secure a sound work culture.

He has been the CEO of Checkmate Facility & Electronic Solutions Pvt Ltd with effect from 01 Nov 2008. He was Director of Haritasa Checkmate Electronic Pvt Ltd, the company undertakes turn key projects to provide turn key electronic security solutions. He has also been nominated as Director MESCO by Chief Minister of Maharashtra with effect from 2012. Since 2016, he is involved in coaching school students to improve their memory for better performance in academics and also undertakes Finger Print Analysis to guide students for most suited academic stream followed by most suited careers depending upon their inborn talents.
