Seven Terrorists have been neutralised by security forces in two separate counter-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir's (J&K) Shopian and Pulwama districts, in the past 24 hours. A soldier has succumbed to his injuries during an ongoing encounter. Small arms have been recovered by security forces during the operations.
Operation Killora
The first operation took place yesterday in Jammu and Kashmir’s (J&K) Shopian district. "Four terrorists have been eliminated, while one surrendered to the security forces." said an Indian Army Spokesperson. "Two AK series of rifles and three pistols have been recovered," added the spokesperson.
Operation Zadoora
The second operation is currently ongoing in the Pulwama district. "Three terrorists have been neutralised, while an AK series rifle and two pistols have been recovered. A soldier had been critically injured in the operation and has since succumbed to his injuries. Operations are still underway," said an official.
