Vice Admiral R Hari Kumar, Flag Officer Commanding-in Chief (FOC-in-C), Western Naval Command visited Karwar Naval Base on 13 and 14 Mar 21. On arrival, the Flag Officer was presented with a Guard of Honour.
During this maiden visit as FOC-in-C (W), the Admiral reviewed operational preparedness of Ships and Units based at Karwar. He was also briefed on the progress of infrastructure development through Project Seabird Phase II A.
The FOC-in-C also interacted with the Officers, Sailors, Defence Security Corps (DSC) jawans and Civilian staff of Karnataka Naval Area.
